The works were shortlisted in an art contest on the Tripoli Fair venue, designed by Brazil’s Oscar Niemeyer. Held by Brazil’s Embassy in Beirut and the Guimarães Rosa Institute – Beirut, the exhibit will run from April 12 to 27 at the Marsah gallery.

The Embassy of Brazil and the Guimarães Rosa Institute in Beirut will award artworks on the International Fair Rachid Karami complex, located in Lebanon and designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. Lebanese citizens and foreigners living in the country are eligible to participate.

As of February 6, Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Center promotes in Beirut an exhibition with photos, objects and documents about Tripoli International Fair, projected by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer in the 60s. The venue remained incomplete and the intention is to draw attention to its conservation.
