The first Arab immigrant in Brazil and the first Arabic newspaper in Latin America are some of the findings of the Project of Digitization of the Memory of the Arab Immigration to Brazil. Open for consultation since last year, the archive has 120,000 digitized pieces and has been used by researchers.

The Library of Lebanese university USEK has established cooperation with the Moise Khayrallah Center in the United States. Through it, a digital collection of journals and newspapers published by Arab immigrants in Latin America will be processed with OCR technology, facilitating research.

In a partnership with the Arab Brazilian Chamber, the Immigration Museum held an event celebrating the Day of the Arab Community in Brazil on Saturday (26). The program featured a project and a survey presentation and short-film screenings, as well as many tales of immigration.
