Mubadala Capital energy firm headquartered in Bahia launched at COP28 a renewable fuel project based on the oil harnessed from macaúba, a Brazilian native fruit.
The Brazilian company carried out the first tests in the production of the fuel, which could help the airline industry reduce CO2 emissions.
Twenty-five percent of the fuel the country uses now comes from renewable sources. The goal is to reach 2030 with a 30% share.
