São Paulo – Arab countries will be featured in the 44th Abav Expo, an international tourism industry show running from September 28 to 30 in São Paulo. Exhibiting countries will include Morocco and Palestine. Interamerican Network, a marketing/public relations firm representing the UAE’s carrier Emirates and the emirate of Dubai in Brazil, will have its own stand to advertise its clients at the expo.
The show is a production of the Brazilian Travel Agencies Association (Abav), and exhibitors include airlines, cruise ship companies, tourism bodies from several countries, tour operators, tourist routes, car rental companies, hotel chains, tourism services providers and industry organizations.
Last year, Abav Expo featured over 3,000 exhibiting brands and welcomed roughly 32,000 industry professionals. Over 60 international destinations were advertised, according to the expo’s website. In 2015, Arab countries such as Palestine, Morocco and the UAE were featured.
Besides the expo, the event features discussion forums, new service launches, and spaces for industry players to meet in. One attraction is Ilha Corporativa (the Corporate Island), where managers and companies can exchange experiences, watch lectures and get training, and Vila do Saber (Knowledge Vilage), for industry discussions.
