Brasília – In the second week this month, the Brazilian trade balance posted a surplus of US$ 866 million. During the period, exports reached US$ 4.602 billion and imports, US$ 3.736 billion, as informed by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.
So far this month, exports have totalled US$ 7.272 billion and imports, US$ 5.826 billion. The resulting surplus is US$ 1.446 billion.
From January until the second week of December, the surplus is US$ 16.356 billion, 30.3% less than in the same period of 2009 (US$ 23.477 billion), as a result of US$ 188.269 billion in exports and US$ 171.913 billion in imports.
