From January to August, the trade surplus was US$ 19.959 billion, higher than the same period of 2010 (US$ 11.618 billion). During the period, exports reached US$ 166.713 billion, at an average of US$ 992.3 million per working day. Imports reached US$ 146.754 billion, at a daily average of US$ 873.5 million.
