São Paulo – Brazilian foreign trade reached US$ 1.8 billion last week, from May 17 to 23, at an average of US$ 373.6 million per day. Import totalled US$ 1.2 billion, and the surplus in the period was US$ 621 million.
With this performance, Brazil already totals US$ 31.3 billion in foreign trade since the beginning of the year. The positive balance, US$ 9.9 billion, is 50% greater than that for the same period last year, US$ 6.6 billion.
