Brasília – The trade balance surplus in the third week of December reached US$ 330 million, according to figures disclosed today (20) by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. In the period, exports reached US$ 4.309 billion and imports, US$ 3.979 billion.
With this result, the trade balance surplus for the month has reached US$ 1.776 billion, with exports of US$ 11.581 billion and imports of US$ 9.805 billion.
From January to the third week of December, the trade surplus is US$ 16.686 billion, 29.6% lower than that registered in the same period in 2009 (US$ 23.701 billion). In the accumulated result for the period, exports reached US$ 192.578 billion and imports, US$ 175.892 billion.
