Trade between Brazil and Arab countries reaches historic record of US$ 8.1 billion
Brazilian exports reached US$ 4.03 billion in 2004, with an increase of 46% over 2003. Imports added up to US$ 4.1 billion. According to the president of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Antonio Sarkis Junior, the entry of new companies and Brazilian products in the export basket helped generate this performance. For 2005, the entity forecasts an increase of 12% to 13% in sales to the Arabs.
