Tunis – Tunisia will join the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) this Wednesday (18), during the bloc’s heads of state and government summit in Lusaka, Zambia. The information was published this Tuesday (17) by news outlet Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP).
The country’s first formal request to join COMESA was made in January 2016. The bloc gathers 20 African countries, representing a population of 625 million people. In the picture above, a meeting of ministers, held this week, of members of the group.
