São Paulo – Tunisia’s tourism revenues reached TND 1.9 billion (USD 784 million) in the year’s first eight months, according to a news feature published at Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP). Last month, the sector generated TND 674 million (USD 276.4 million).
From January to August, there was an increase of 22% in revenues over the same period of 2016. In this period, 4.6 million tourists visited Tunisia. From this total, 1.1 million came from Europe and 1.5 million came from Algeria.
