São Paulo – As of April 4, 2019, a new option will be made available to Brazilian travelers headed for the United Arab Emirates. Turkish Airlines said that it will add flights to Sharjah (pictured), the third-biggest city in the United Arab Emirates.
The flights will depart from GRU Airport in São Paulo and make stopovers in Istanbul before arriving in Sharjah, the UAE.
The Turkey-based carrier will offer discounts, with two-way economy class tickets (tariffs not included) starting at USD 799 (amenable to changes) for purchases made until November 24, 2018 and flights slated for May 16 to July 3, 2019.
Turkish Airlines is a Star Alliance member with a fleet of 325 passenger and cargo aircraft flying to over 304 destinations – 255 international and 49 domestic ones – in 122 countries.
The emirate
Sharjah is 15 kilometers apart from neighboring Dubai. It’s home to 24 museums, 900 mosques, palaces, gardens, lakes and a 17-km beachline. The emirate was recently the guest of honor at the 25th São Paulo International Book Biennial, which featured a Sharjah stand and over 40 titles translated into Portuguese.
