São Paulo – The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) informed on Friday (21) the release of another two galleries of photographs of Syrian refugees on the Internet. According to the UN agency, over 500,000 people have left Syria heading towards neighbouring nations due to the conflict in the country, which has also caused around 2 million internal movements.
Album Refugees prepare for winter in Jordan’s Za’atri camp shows images of the Jordanian camp that houses 31,000 people and their preparations to face the cold.
The other is entitled Displaced inside Syria: UNHCR and its Dedicated Staff help the Needy and shows the UN work for assistance to refugees in their own country. The albums may be viewed at http://bit.ly/12Exx3b
