Rio de Janeiro – Unemployment continues to decline in the country and the unemployment rate in the quarter ending in October of this year stood at 12.2%, 0.6 percentage point above the previous quarter. Nevertheless, in Brazil, in October, 12.7 million people were unemployed.
The date was released this Thursday (30) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) for the National Household Sample Survey (PNAD). If compared to the same period of last year, when the unemployment rate was 11.8%, there was an increase of 0.4 percentage point.
