São Paulo – Vehicle exports dropped in Brazil during the month of July, the National Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea) reported this Monday (6). The slump came as a result of unfavorable economic scenarios in Argentina and Mexico, which are key markets for the industry.
The number of units shipped was down 21.7% year-on-year in July; 20.9% in July from June; and 2.8% year-to-date through July.
Conversely, domestic sales were up 17.7% year-on-year in July to 217,509 units, the best result for a July since 2015, Anfavea said.
