São Paulo – The National Association of Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea) announced today (7) that vehicle sales in 2007 – including light vehicles, lorries and buses, assembled and disassembled – totalled 2.46 million units, including national and imported vehicles.
The performance is the highest in the history of the country, according to the Anfavea, exceeding by 27.8% the figure for 2006. Participation of imported vehicles reached 10.9% of the total.
Regarding production, a total of 2.97 million units were made last year, 13.9% more than in 2006 and also the largest result in history for the sector.
