São Paulo – Motor vehicle manufacturing was down 14.5% in April from March 2015 in Brazil. As per results issued this Thursday (7th) by the National Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea), 217,100 units were made last month, and 254,000 in March. April 2015 production was down 21.7% from 277,100 in April of last year.
Year-to-date through April 2015, vehicle production reached 881,700 units, down 17.5% from 1.068 million in the comparable year-ago period. Vehicle sales were down 24.6% year-on-year in April. Anfavea reports 243,500 units sold in April 2014 and 183,700 units in April this year.
