São Paulo – The number of new vehicles licensed in the month of February dropped 17% in comparison to the previous month, according to data from the National Association of Motor Vehicles Manufacturers (Anfavea) posted this Thursday (11).
According to the balance by the entity, 259,328 vehicles were sold last month. In January, sales of new cars reached 312,618. In relation to February 2013, it was up 10.3%.
Brazil’s vehicle production was up 18.7%. A total of 281,452 units were produced in February, against 237,186 in January. In comparison to February 2013, there was an increase of 16.9%.
In the agricultural machinery segment, 5,615 units were sold in February, as against 3,772 in January, up 48.9%. In relation to February 2013, machinery sales declined by 9.6%.
