São Paulo – In June this year, 477,933 vehicles were sold in Brazil, according to the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distributors (Fenabrave). In comparison with May, when 502,090 units were sold, there was a decline of 4.81%. The figure comprises sales of automobiles, light commercial vehicles (utility), trucks, buses, motorcycles, road implements (bins, bodies and trailers) and agricultural machinery.
In comparison with June 2010 (411,289 units sold), there was an increase of 15.97%. Out of all vehicles sold in June this year, 286,938 were automobiles and light commercial vehicles, whose sales declined by 4.52% compared with May (300,513).
From January to June this year, 2,722,392 vehicles were sold, an increase of 10.16% over the same period of 2010, when 2,466,629 were sold.
