São Paulo – Sales of automobiles and mixed use vehicles (which may be used for both passenger and light cargo transportation) grew by 10.63% in 2010 compared with the previous year. According to data disclosed today (4th) by the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distributors (Fenabrave), 3,329,170 units were sold, as against 3,009,201 in 2009.
This year, the federation is expecting growth of 4.2% in automobile and mixed use vehicle sales, at 3,468,995 units sold.
In December 2010, sales grew by 16%, at 361,197 vehicles sold, as against 311,410 in November. In comparison with December 2009, when 277,915 vehicles were sold, there was growth of 30%.
