São Paulo – Volkswagen Truck & Bus Brazil will have an official importer in the Middle East and is shipping trucks to Jordan. The manufacturer reported last week that it had just signed a partnership with IA – Integrated Automotive, which will represent the brand in the region and whose executives visited Brazil to formalize the agreement.
The company report that it is breaking into Jordan with Delivery and Constellation trucks and that the first units will arrive in the country to a demonstration show for strategic clients. In the coming months trucks for sale are expected to arrive in Jordan. Volkswagen had only direct, one-off sales in the Middle East.
“Now we are taking a major step forward and have a consistent internationalization strategy with roubust, highly credible partnerships that will strengthen our global position and service,” Volkswagen Truck & Bus New Markets manager Leandro Pereira was quoted as saying in a statement.
Volkswagen Truck & Bus’s partner is the commercial vehicle division of a group with 70 years of experience and over 6,000 employees that represents other brands by Volkswagen. IA – Integrated Automotive already represents in Volkswagen’s MAN Truck & Bus in Jordan. According to Volkswagen Truck & Bus Brazil, IA has a team of experts in sales and after-sales.
Volkswagen Truck & Bus reported in the statement that its plans for international expansion don’t stop there and that it keeps seeking opportunities to strengthen its presence globally as a supplier of commercial and service vehicles. In partnership with importers, the goal is scaling up sales in the 30 and some countries it operates in and break into new markets in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
