São Paulo – The International Organization for Migration (OIM) is hosting on Wednesday (27) in Rio de Janeiro a workshop on inclusion of immigrants by companies. The UN agency said this Friday (22) that the event is the last in a series intended to provide training to corporate entities looking to embrace policies designed to integrate foreigners in vulnerable conditions.
The idea is to convey information on hiring procedures, rendering of assistance, documentation and other issues. The workshop will involve professionals who work on inclusion.
“This is a very important event, because it will help clear out questions relating to insertion of migrants, especially vulnerable ones, in the labor market,” Rio’s regional superintendent on Labor Alex Bolsas was quoted by the OIM as saying.
Similar meetings have taken place in São Paulo (SP) and Boa Vista (RR). In Rio, the workshop will take place at the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Firjan). Registrations are available free of charge at bit.ly/2WezGUm.
