São Paulo – The World Bank president, Jim Yong Kim, will visit Tunisia on January 23 and 24. It will be Kim’s first visit to the Middle East and North Africa since he assumed his post in July 2012.
During his visit, Kim will meet with government officials and representatives of the civil society, companies, and unions. They will discuss how the World Bank can assist Tunisia through its post-Arab Spring Transition, promote more inclusive growth, and create more job opportunities.
Kim also intends to tackle issues such as implementation of reforms that will pave the way for economic growth, and how the civil society can become involved in government programs.
