São Paulo – The Zayed Sustainability Prize, from the United Arab Emirates, has entries open until August 9. Companies, research organizations and high schools from across the world can take part. The submission of entries is free of charge and forms should be filled in English at the award’s website.
Entries are divided in five categories, Health, Food, Energy, Water and Global High School Prize – the latter is divided in six awards, one for each region, which are Americas; Europe and Central Asia; sub-Saharan Africa; East Asia and Pacific; South Asia; and Middle East and North Africa.
The annual award celebrates achievements based on impact, innovation and inspiration. The award’s fund is of USD 3 million and will be distribute equally, with USD 600,000 going to each category. In the Global High School Prize category, the award will be divided among six schools, that is, USD 100,000 to each one.
To submit an entry, candidates must go to the award’s website and fill a form. The website offers the option to save your form and edit it later.
The ceremony announcing the awards will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on January 14, 2019, during Sustainability Week. All of the finalists will be invited to the ceremony.

The Zayed Sustainability Prize is a tribute to the legacy of the late founding father of the United Arab Emirates, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, champion of environmental stewardship and global sustainability.
