São Paulo – The Zayed Sustainability Prize, an international award supplying funding to innovative projects in different sectors, was slated to take place in January 2021 in the United Arab Emirates. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the ensuing restrictions on travel, which might prevent candidates from attending, the event has been postponed until January 2022.
This year’s entrants will be automatically transferred to the 2022 iteration of the contest.
Since 2008, the Zayed Sustainability Prize has been part of a global drive to find new technologies towards sustainable change. It comprises five categories – Health, Food, Energy, Water, and Global High Schools.
Entries are evaluated on the basis of impact and benefits to communities around the world, via innovations such as renewable energy and solar power.
The Award is inspired by the commitment to sustainability of the UAE’s founder Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
