Brazil's Agriculture, Livestock and Supply minister Tereza Cristina is travelling to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE from September 11 to 23. She spoke on the trip during a lecture this Monday (26) at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, in São Paulo. Cristina also expressed her wish to see Arab investment in Brazilian agribusiness. The minister asserted that opportunities are ripe in several sectors of the Brazilian agribusiness industry, especially infrastructure, which requires investment for the shipping off of production.
Exports from Brazil to Arab countries were up 27% in July, in the best monthly result so far this year. And the Arab Chamber will be back at water, energy, tech and environment show WETEX, from October 21 to 23 in Dubai, UAE, in a bid to promote Brazilian goods and services and bring investment into the country.
The Arab Chamber will also be at ANUGA, the world's premier food industry, taking place in Cologne, Germany from October 5 to 9. The European country is home to numerous Arab expatriates, and importers from across the Middle East and North Africa are fixtures in the show.
