Footwear and leather goods show Couromoda is the highlight of your ANBA Bulletin this Wednesday (9). According to its organizers, the event slated for Jan. 14-17 will be attended by eight Arab importing companies – four from the UAE, three from Saudi Arabia and one from Egypt. Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) chairman Heitor Klein believes the trade show will mark a rebound for the industry. “We had a few more positive indications in the last few months of last year, both domestically and abroad, so we are expecting further proof of that recovery,” he said.
And Brazil broke the world record for beef exports in 2018 at 1.64 million tons shipped, up 11% from 2017. According to the Brazilian Beef Exporters Association (Abiec), this isn't just the biggest amount ever exported from Brazil; it's the biggest amount ever shipped by any country in one year's time.
