This Monday (15) in your ANBA Bulletin: businesswoman Marlucia Martire (pictured) of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil has a project whereby she promotes jewelry, fashion and art items with “Brazilianness” in the Middle East. Underway for two years now, the Brazilian Atmosphere initiative has sponsored workshops and placed products in exhibition spaces and points of sale in the region. “Brazilianness is trending right now. It adds value to the items,” ALM Brazil partner Martire told ANBA’s Isaura Daniel.
Brazilian-based Palestinians and descendants aged 17 to 29 are getting together from July 26 to 28 in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná to discuss how they can contribute to the Palestinian Cause. The idea came up during the 10th Congress of the Palestinian Arab Federation in Brazil (Fepal), held last April in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. “All lectures and events will be intended to open up young people’s minds to ideas for activities in their own cities,” Yousef Amer, one of the meeting’s organizers, told ANBA’s Thais Sousa.
And the outlook for Middle East tourism is very promising. The long-term development strategies of several Arab countries include incentives to the industry.
