This Thursday (9) in your ANBA Bulletin: Brazilian cosmetic companies are trying to sell their hand sanitizers in the foreign market. Exports of the product had been banned by the Brazilian government since late March but were cleared on June 22. The United Arab Emirates donated personal protection equipment to Brazil, and an Etihad plane arrived in Brasília bringing the items earlier this week. The initiative is a result of a bilateral cooperation. Attorneys and representatives of banks from Brazil and the United Arab Emirates discussed export security and financial operations in webinar hosted by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday (8). And the vitamin-C-rich Persian lime is in high demand due to the pandemic. The product is Brazil’s most exported citrus fruit, accounting for 98% of the shipments.

Since the coronavirus pandemic started, the demand for vitamin C rich foods has increased. These potential health allies include a little sour fruit grown in Brazil – the Persian lime. “We noticed an uptrend in citrus fruit consumption. I believe that, when people researched information, they sought out ways to improve their health, and this impacted the citrus fruit consumption as a result,” said Aline Andrade, director at Andrade Sun Farms
