The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce’s stint in the 6th Arab Conference for Food Security is in the spotlight in this edition of your ANBA Bulletin. The forum took place this Wednesday (14) in Fujairah, the UAE. The Chamber’s president Rubens Hannun and Operations director Tamer Mansour were in attendance. In one of the panels, Mansour went over Brazil’s experience in agriculture. “Brazil has always been a friend and a partner [to Arab countries] when it comes to food security,” he said. The Chamber will soon present a study on the subject done in tandem with the University of São Paulo (USP).
And hair products maker Grupo B2B held a launch ceremony on Tuesday (13) for its manufacturing plant in Cotia, in the Greater São Paulo area. The event was held at the Arab Chamber headquarters in São Paulo. The new plant’s entire output will be export-oriented, and Arab countries are a priority for the company. CEO Nazir Farra said he expects business volume to increase by 25% to 30% in 2019 as the new facility becomes operational.
And the International Energy Agency (IEA) expects oil output worldwide to outpace demand next year. Since last October, the commodity’s prices have shed about 25% to under USD 70 per barrel.
