Lebanese olive oil used in Brazilian cosmetics-making

This Thursday (26) in your ANBA Bulletin: Minas Gerais, Brazil-based company Olisoft’s flagship product is a soap made from Lebanese olive oil, drawing on Arab cosmetics-making traditions. The company’s founder, Gabriel Tarquinio Bertozzi, encourages olive tree farming in the Poços de Caldas area where his stores are located.

The Arab House is hosting a webinar at 5 pm next Monday (30) on Arab immigration to Brazil. The event will see thinkers and scholars go in-depth on a survey released by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) last July.

The United Arab Emirates have moved to allow 100% foreign business ownership in some industries, in line with the country’s goal of attracting more foreign investment.

And the UAE’s and Brazil’s defense industries are building rapport. Public and private sector players joined an online event this week, and they made it clear that Brazilian and Emirati executives are eager to cooperate more.
