This Monday (30) in your ANBA Bulletin: Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) is accepting entries from companies interested in joining Gulfood, the premier food and beverage industry show in the Middle East, to run from February 16 to 20, 2020 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The deadline for preregistration is October 11. This year at Gulfood (pictured above), 79 Brazilian companies were featured in a space organized by Apex, which estimates USD 1.45 billion in deals. The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce had a standalone stand hosting five of its member companies.
Check out that Cummins Brazil sold 30 diesel generator sets to a company in Qatar. The equipment will be employed in infrastructure works for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which Qatar will host. “We do expect to export more products next year,” said Cummins Power Generation Latin America Product Marketing supervisor David Sato told reporter Thais Sousa.
And culture: Arab artists and designers may apply until October 31 to participate in an art residency of four weeks in Boiçucanga, in the north coast of São Paulo. The open call will award four people to stay at Kaaysá Art Residency. The open call is sponsored by the Arab Brazilian Chamber and launched in partnership with Beirut Art Fair and Beirut Design Fair. “The artist may be from any Arab country, and we’re prioritizing young, up-and-coming artists to encourage new talents,” said the Chamber’s cultural director Silvia Antibas to the reporter Bruna Garcia.

We resisted,” said Pedro Von Seehausen, one of the event’s organizers, who’s currently pursuing a PhD in Archaeology from the National Museum/UFRJ.
