São Paulo – The southeastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais had revenues of US$ 1.029 billion with exports in February, a historic record for exports in this month of the year. Minas Gerais is the second largest Brazilian export state, losing only to São Paulo, also in the southeast.
In the first quarter of 2006, exports from Minas Gerais grew 17.7% when compared to the same period last year. In the last 12 months, from March 2005 to February 2006, sales reached US$ 13.81 billion. This information was supplied by the government of the state of Minas Gerais.
