São Paulo – How Brazilians can sell processed foods in Egypt is the topic of a webinar held by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and Brazilian Food Industry Association (ABIA). The event “Brazil-Egypt Relations: Opportunities for Processed Foods in the Egyptian Market” takes place on September 13 from 10 to 11:30 am.
The debates will feature executive from abroad and will be streamed via Zoom, featuring translation into Portuguese and English. The event will point out business opportunities with the Arab country and provide information on topics like the regulatory and business environment, Egypt’s economy, and Brazilian product registration.
The panel on the regulatory environment will feature executives such as Ibrahim El-Seginy, assistant minister and supervisor of the Agreements and Foreign Trade sector of the Ministry of Trade and Industry; Kamal Nasr, supervisor of the Technical Office of the Ministry of Economic Planning and Economic Development of Egypt; Cesar Simas Teles, agricultural attaché at the Embassy of Brazil in Egypt; and Michael Gamal, regional director and head of the ABCC office in Cairo.
The program will also feature the roundtable “Doing Business with Egypt – Opportunities for the Brazilian Food and Beverage Industry” to be moderated by Tamer Mansour, secretary-general and CEO of the ABCC. Confirmed speakers are Luiz Tavares, coordinator of the International Trade Working Group at ABIA and International Relations executive at BRF; Marchella Chompré, Trade Execution supervisor at Cargill; and João Ulisses Rabelo Pimenta, Market Analysis coordinator at the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).
The event will also feature speeches by ABCC president Osmar Chohfi and ABIA executive president João Dornellas, as well as Nashwa Bakr, commercial consul of Egypt in São Paulo.
