São Paulo – This Thursday (24), Arab diplomats received in the federal capital Brasília the new ambassadors of Qatar and Libya, who recently took up their posts in Brazil. A welcome dinner was promoted by the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Brazil at the Embassy of Palestine in Brasília.
The new diplomats were the ambassador of Qatar, Ahmad Alshebani, and the ambassador of Libya, Osama Sawan. The Council of Arab Ambassadors, the meeting organizer, has the Palestinian ambassador, Ibrahim Alzeben, as dean. The president of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), ambassador Osmar Chohfi, participated in welcoming the new diplomats.
The Arab ambassadors also attended a meeting in Brasília this week with a delegation of congress representatives of Paraguay. The purpose of the meeting was to seek greater cooperation and establish consultations and contacts between members of the Paraguayan Legislative power and Arab parliamentarians.
