São Paulo –Airbus is testing its new plane, in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. In a communiqué release this Wednesday (18th), the European manufacturer claimed it has sent the new jet, named A350, to one of the seven emirates to test for hot weather. This is one of the last evaluations to be carried out on the new model before it is certificated to operate commercially, due Q3 this year.
In one of the tests, the jet was left on the ground and in the sun for several hours. Later, the cooling systems were activated and checked. The plane has also been through flight tests. These tests are performed in order to check the behaviour of the engines and aircraft systems at temperatures reaching above 40°C.
The A350 should start operating later this year. It will be available in three different versions, with seating capacity between 276 to 369 passengers. The first client to receive the new jet is Qatari airline, Qatar Airways.
