São Paulo – The Brazilian National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) reported this Wednesday (12th) that 39 companies have signed up for the 13th bidding round of exploration blocks of oil and natural gas. The deadline for registrations ended on Tuesday (11th). According to ANP, the number is higher than in the 12th round.
The agency added that the registration requests will be evaluated by the agency itself and judged by the Auction Special Commission from August 14th to September 2nd. The round will be held on October 7th. In all, 266 blocks in 22 sectors of 10 sedimentary basins, in 10 Brazilian states, will be auctioned.
