São Paulo – The emirate of Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, will not provide vaccines against COVID-19 to tourists, as announced this week by the international media. The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Committee clarified via Twitter that free vaccination is available to “everyone with an expired residency visa or expired entry visa, which does not include holders of valid tourist or visit visas.”
The committee reiterated that the decision was made for the health and safety of everyone in Abu Dhabi and considered the exceptional circumstances of the pandemic.
The UAE has one of the highest vaccination rates in the world and offers free vaccination to citizens and residents.
