São Paulo – After the positive welcome by the Lusophone community in Dubai to the first event organized by Rule Number One, a company founded by Brazilian Ludmilla Figueiredo, a new round of discussion has already been scheduled. This time, the topic will be the access to capital to endeavor in the Middle East.
According to the organizer, the event will be relevant to those looking for funding from investors to their ideas or startups. “There are many ways to raise funds, especially to tech companies: you have the bank, investor, accelerators, incubators. I will explain every option, since not everyone knows the details on each one of them,” says Ludmilla.
In addition to her presentation, there will be a talk with Shahzad Batti, founder of The Co-Working Popup and Share This Space, both businesses that, using the collaborative economy, provide accessible and flexible tools for the entrepreneurs to start their businesses. “He’s been through many experiences and he will share with the audience.”
Since the guest is from abroad, this time half of the event will be in Portuguese and half in English. The place chosen to host the guests was The Co-Working Popup itself, in Dubai, from 5 pm to 7 pm, next Saturday, January 27. Registration costs AED 100 (BRL 82.03), paid at the event in cash.
First event
Ludmilla says that the feedback from the event How to Venture in the UAE – Doing Business in Dubai, the first event organized by Rule Number One, last Saturday (13), was positive. “Everyone came out of the event saying that they will come in the next ones and, despite the fact we ran over the time, no one wanted to leave, since the talk was so good,” she says.
She highlighted the answer to the question on the topics that were interesting to the 30 guests that took part in the event: “Careers [in companies] are not of general interest. That is, we are looking at the UAE as business opportunities and professional independence.”
