São Paulo – Investe São Paulo, the investment and competitiveness promotion agency of the government of the state of São Paulo, wants to help Arab businessmen engage in local partnerships. The investment manager for Investe São Paulo, Luís Fernando Arbex, met with C-level executives at the offices of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce this Monday (29th) to discuss joint actions with the Arab world.
Since April, Investe São Paulo was encumbered by the state government to promote trade and attract businesses into the technology park in the namesake state capital. And the agency also continues with its prior mission of attracting investments into the state. Since its inception in 2009, Investe São Paulo has helped in 109 investment projects, amounting to a combined R$ 27 billion (US$ 8.5 billion) according to Arbex.
The investment manager was welcomed to the Arab Chamber by Foreign Trade vice president Rubens Hannun, Marketing VP Riad Younes, Treasury director Nahid Chicani, director Wilian Atui, and other Arab Chamber executives. They discussed attracting Arab investment, forming partnerships, and promoting São Paulo-based enterprises in the Middle East.
