São Paulo – Agrale sold ten units of the utility vehicle Agrale Marruá (pictured above) to the United Arab Emirates in mid-December, as per information made public last week. The AM2 model vehicles will be used by the UAE Armed Forces in Abu Dhabi, the country’s capital.
Agrale is based in the city of Caxias do Sul and builds tractors, trucks, buses, utilities and engines. The company sells its utility vehicles to many countries’ armed and security forces, including Brazil’s. In addition to its headquarters, the company has other two industrial plants in Caxias do Sul and one in Argentina.
The vehicles sold to the UAE went through few adaptations, the company reported, including a vinyl hood with a special weather-resistant material against UV + UVB rays and high temperatures, due to the region’s hot weather, and a more powerful air-conditioner. According to Agrale, the AM2 models have been used by the Abu Dhabi Armed Forces since 2018.
The company’s commercial and marketing director Edson Ares Sixto Martins said that the relevance of the deal goes beyond the numbers exported and is a testament of the strenght and performance of the Agrale Marruá. “This encourages us to keep pursuing new orders, not only from the UAE but from other countries, too,” he was quoted as saying in a press release.
The company is part of the Stedile Group, which includes the Agritech Lavrale, Fundituba and Fazenda Três Rios, and owns subsidiaries Agrale Montadora, Agrale Argentina, Agrale Comercial, and Lintec.
