São Paulo – Representatives of the Algerian company Cevital, a multi-sectorial group, are taking part in the Brazil-Africa Forum, which is being held this Thursday (28th) and Friday (29) in Fortaleza, capital of the state of Ceará. The event is also attended by other Arab companies and companies with operations in Arab countries, such as Brazilian Sudanese Agribusiness, represented by its Brazilian chairman Paulo Hegg. The forum is organized by the Brazil-Africa Institute and takes place every two years. The theme of the current edition is “Infrastructure, partnerships and development.”
The information comes from the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce’s International Business executive Fernanda Baltazar, who is attending the event. According to her, the topic of the debates this Thursday was the economic importance of Africa. The issues discussed include historical connections between Brazil and African countries and the similarities they share.
This Friday, the event will address the Arab world, including a lecture delivered by Cevital representatives. The group has an office in Belém and is preparing to grow grain in Brazil and export it back to Algeria.
