Algiers – From January to July, Algeria’s food imports totaled USD 5.236 billion, an increase of 1% over the same period of last year, as published this Tuesday (04) by news outlet Algérie Presse Service (APS).
The six major groups of products imported by the country are cereals, dairies, sugar and confectionery, coffee and tea, and meats. There was an increase in imports especially of cereals and dairies, while the other groups registered a decline in imports.
