São Paulo – The ambassador of Bahrain to Brazil, Bader Abbas Alhelaibi, attended appointments in the capital of São Paulo this week to discuss strengthening his country’s relations with the state. São Paulo state governor Tarcísio de Freitas received the diplomat.
Alhelaibi met with Freitas and the state’s secretary of Government and Institutional Affairs, Gilberto Kassab; congressman and president of the Brazil-Bahrain Friendship Group in the Chamber of Deputies, Eduardo Bolsonaro; and other representatives.
The Bahraini ambassador spoke with the governor about the growing bilateral cooperation between Brazil and Bahrain, which, according to him, is at different levels, and the progress achieved in the last five years regarding trade, visits by high-ranking authorities, policy coordination, and other initiatives.
Alhelaibi told the governor he wanted to strengthen economic and commercial cooperation with São Paulo due to the state’s significant trade and investment resources and the abundant local commercial and industrial opportunities.
