São Paulo – After participating in the APAS Show held in São Paulo this week, Tunisia’s Export Promotion Center (CEPEX) director Raoudha Jerbi Abbes said companies from the Arab country in North Africa will “certainly” be at the next year’s trade show. Date and olive oils vendors participated in the show at the Arab Space organized by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and featuring companies from Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Egypt, and Iraq.
“APAS Show is a very important international event. I believe it’s possibly one of the largest in the world and definitely in Latin America,” she said. “We want to return to APAS in 2025. And we’re contemplating our participation in other events in Brazil,” she said.

“Brazil has a large potential for Tunisian companies. We’ll increase our efforts to bring in more products besides olive oils and dates,” she said, pointing out, however, that Tunisian olive oils figure among the world’s most awarded.
On the companies’ participation at the APAS Show this year, she said they made connections and sales could potentially come to fruition in the days after the event, following more negotiation on prices, freight, and shipment.
She added that the support from the ABCC was key for her country’s traders to learn more about the Brazilian market in a program that besides the APAS Show itself, also featured technical visits to food supply centers and retailers.
