São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, an organisation that works on bringing Brazil closer to the Arab countries, is receiving new associates. The organisation has launched a package of services for companies – including from supply of information to help in the identification of possible partners – with the objective of aiding in bilateral business.
The package was launched after a restructuring process at the organisation, in early 2011, which made it more guided towards its clients, with department specialized in specific sectors. Associated companies have access to trade figures, where they may identify potential clients, as well as to a series of other advantages, like discounts in translations into Arabic, advertisements on the chamber’s communication media and participation in fairs, talks and workshops.

Now we have specialized professionals in sectors and markets and companies will be guided to these areas, in accordance with their activities,” stated the CEO at the Arab Brazilian Chamber, Michel Alaby. “These professionals are eyeing both sides and are going to make that into business opportunities for companies,” explained the chief operations officer at the Arab Brazilian Chamber, Andrea Monteiro Uhlmann.
After this most recent restructuring process, the Arab Brazilian Chamber has strengthened professional qualification of employees aiding companies. “We are working focussing much more on the needs of clients, according to the Chamber’s core business, which is being a safe link between Arabs and Brazilians,” explained Andrea. The Arab Brazilian Chamber has been in operation for almost 60 years and focuses mainly on trade, tourism and cultural exchange between Brazil and the Arab world. The organisation is affiliated to the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries. Among the activities of the Arab Brazilian Chamber are certification of products for export to the Arab world, programming for Brazilian participation in fairs in the Arab world and promotion of business roundtables and talks, among other activities, turned to generation of closer ties between both regions.
