São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is looking to create new forms of cooperation with Saudi Arabia. CEO Michel Alaby and Government Relations manager Tamer Mansour had meetings this Tuesday (21) in the Gulf country, to discuss institutional and commercial projects.
At the Council of Saudi Chambers, they met with International Cooperation director Mohammed Al Ghazzawi and International Relations director Waleed Al Orainan. “We went over the question of the Brazil-Saudi Arabia Business Council, which should comprise delegates from industry, agriculture, financial services, tourism and investment,” said Alaby.
The CEO also considered an exchange program for staff from the two chambers, as a means for building closer rapport. Also on the agenda was the sharing of information by Saudi companies with the Arab Brazilian Chamber.
Alaby and Mansour also met with Flávio Marega, the Brazilian ambassador in Saudi Arabia. At the meeting, the diplomat discussed Brazil’s plans of participating in events in the Arab country.
“They will go the trade shows Saudi Food and Saudi Agriculture, and they are also planning to have a Brazilian food week at the Al Othaim supermarket,” said Alaby.
