São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce will be featured this week in Saudi Agriculture, an expo running from last Sunday (2) to next Wednesday (5) in Riyadh. It is showcasing its services to business owners from the Arab country.
The Chamber is at the expo in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) and the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Relations.
“Our stand has been sought out by companies interested in importing food products, especially poultry and beef, and animal nutrition products such as beef,” explains Sidi Naji, the Arab Chamber Market International analyst representing the organization at the exhibition.
According to Naji, the expo is proving to be a good opportunity for introducing the Arab Chamber’s services to business owners who were unfamiliar with it. “They grow interested whenever I mention that we bridge the gap with Arab companies [in Brazil],” he says. “I also tell them about our projects. They are coming to us in order to find contacts. Most [of the Saudis] are looking to get in touch with [Brazilian] exporters,” he claims.
The São Paulo-based agricultural machinery and implements company Baldan is at the Saudi expo for the first time, backed by the Arab Chamber. The company sent the technical demonstrator Diego Pichineli to the event in an attempt to place the brand in the market. “He is here trying to find a representative. They want someone to represent the brand in Saudi Arabia,” Naji points out.
Besides attending the expo, the Arab Chamber executive sat in meetings at the embassy of Brazil, the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Saudi Export Development Authority.
