São Paulo – For the first time, Brazil will have a pavilion at the energy, water, technology and environment sectors trade expo WETEX & Dubai Solar Show, which is organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The event takes place from October 23 to 25 at the World Trade Center in Dubai. Registrations are open at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce to Brazilian companies interested in attending. The Chamber is responsible for the organization of the Brazilian pavilion in the event.
According to Rafael Solimeo, the Arab Chamber’s executive for International Business, this is an important moment that shows Brazil’s willingness to diversify its businesses. “We want to present ourselves in the sustainability sector to the Arab countries; the country has always had a strong focus on commodities and not so much in sustainable energy, it’s time for us to reach to this sector, showing that there are many Brazilian companies with excellent products and services,” he said.
WETEX is in its 18th edition and the Dubai Solar Show was created two years ago. The event will take place in an area of 70,000 square meters with the participation of 50 countries, among them Germany, Turkey, Canada, Netherlands, Denmark, India, China, Russia, Japan and Switzerland. It will cover 40 sectors, including water, renewable energies, technology, innovation, engineering and consulting. The organization is expecting 35,000 visitors from 80 countries.
“We are truly very ecstatic to have a first time ever Brazilian pavilion, which I am certain will grow and prosper for years to come,” said the DEWA Senior Executive Aanal Patwari.
The executive said that “WETEX & Dubai Solar Show are one of a kind event that will convene business, investors, policymakers and industry leaders from various enterprises and institutions of all sizes, both national and international, in a 3-day exchange that fosters bottom up practitioner-driven business to business and business to government solutions for sustainable development.” In addition to the expo, there will be eleven simultaneous events, between B2B and B2G meetings, workshops, seminars and technical visits.
Companies interested in taking part in the Brazilian pavilion at WETEX & Dubai Solar Show can contact the Arab Chamber’s sales area at the phone 55 11 3145-3200.
