São Paulo – The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) will participate in virtual food trade show The Foodeshow. The global event organized by Moroccans was created this year and will run online from September 8 to 9. In addition to the show, the event aims at being a platform offering content through webinars and lectures.
The ABCC booth will feature eight companies, being four Arabs and four Brazilians. “We can showcase the ABCC and what it does best, which is connecting Brazilians and Arabs. We are taking Brazilian and Arab businesspeople, and we are very excited to see how it will turn out. We are also eager to reach several world players from home. I find it very interesting,” Rafael Solimeo, the head of the ABCC’s International Office in Dubai, pointed out.
The ebooth will bring together Brazil’s food companies Brasil Arbaza Alimentos, Prata Pereira, Cerealista NP Zanchetta, and Café Estação do Salto. The Arab companies will be Tanmiah Food Group, Taiba Farms, Al-Ahlam Co. Food Products, and Asia & Africa General Trading LLC. “We expect to reach a large number of food buyers, as we can connect more easily online, with no geographical barriers. Thus, we keep trying to meet our goal of connecting people and fostering business,” ABCC commercial manager Daniella Leite said.
According to the organizers, the visitors registered are potential buyers from 63 different countries. “We go where the Arabs and Brazilians are. We’ve done events in Germany and UK, aiming at connecting these two worlds. Now, we won’t just go to the countries but go to a platform where people from different countries will be. Even in the pandemic, we keep connecting these worlds online,” Solimeo added.
The event’s platform will allow the exhibitors to have full access to the show, including contacting other exhibitors, visitors and lecturers. As for the online visitors, they can contact the exhibitors directly. The ABCC ebooth will have information about each of the companies, a catalogue, social media, and a chat so that the visitor can talk to each company.
The ebooth will also feature a meeting schedule showing when each company will be available to meet interested buyers. In addition to the two-day event, the platform will remain online for four months afterwards so that the companies can follow up their networking and talk to visitors and exhibitors at the platform, Arab Chamber events coordinator Tâmara Machado explained.
